I wanted roll back the kernel (since we installed some 3rd party s/w which reqd a reboot), (note: it is not installed via swinstall, so i cant swremove). Here is what i did, i restored my vmunix before the install date but forgot to install the system file. Now i notice commands like lanscan, dmesg are not working. Now if i restore the system file to the same date as vmunix (i know which exact date before the install) and reboot will it be OK?

Thanks

Mike
