    <description>James,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please see this page about the cimserver process deatils:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://docs.hp.com/en/B8465-90017/ch05s03.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://docs.hp.com/en/B8465-90017/ch05s03.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it is a part of WBEM utility, which on my servers came to play when we start replacing ISEE with HP-SIM implementation. If you do not have a need to run WBEM application, I think you can safely stop and disable the cimserver process. Page linked above gives you the details you need&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps</description>

      <description>Could someone explain the cimserver process and what it is used for.  I would like to shut it down but want to make sure it will not cause problems on server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Using rp4440 server with HP 11.23.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>
