      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;raid 1 hardware is not visible to the system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The hardware raid presents a single disk to the system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can see the configuration if you have the PSP for HP-UX software package installed. You can connect to a web server and see hardware configuration.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Or you can boot the system at the console and bring up the BIOS based configuration and display utility.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Right. rp4440 has 2 local disk drive in the system. I think it need soft mirror instead of hard mirror.</description>

      <description>I fast fingered my previous reply. There are only two SCSI disks on the server and as pointed out, no HW raid. You should hope that the two disks are OS (most likely LVM) mirrored.</description>

      <description>Look at the output of "lvdisplay" for one of the logical volumes, or do "vgdisplay -v" for the volume group.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mirrored logical volumes will have twice as many physical extents (PE) as logical extents (LE) in that output.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And if you do "lvdisplay -v" on a volume, it will show you the entire list of extents, and which physical extents they're mapped to.  A mirrored disk will have two columns of physical extents.</description>
