topic installation in Operating System - HP-UX

installation

We have an rx8620 which came with a HP-UX 11.23. We want to install windows server 2003 on this server but when the installation gets to where i have to press F8 to agree with the conditions, the installation hangs.

Can somebody save me.

I assume you have the Itanium (IA) version of Windows 2003? If not, getting that is step 1.

you also have to have supported cards etc for this, and change the apciconfig in EFI to be able to use windows

You cannot press F8? Try ESC 8 instead.

From the HPVM guide about windows installations:

"...
To accept the EULA, press the Escape key, then 8, which emulates the F8 function key."

Hi All!

Not that i cannot use the F8 key. The problem is when i press the F8 key nothing happens until i press Esc key which will just terminate the installation.

IIRC you need to press 8 quickly after ESC.
