Hello everybody.
I have an HP-UX box where i have installed the Oracle Application Server.
After running Ignite on the server i get the following warning:

Warning:There was a problem with the list of files/directories to archive:
The following lines had too few/incorrect entries:
Problem lines:
line:27 /opt/oracle/appsrv/bin/nm0

Does this warning mean that an Ignite recovery of this backup will fail ?

What can this be related to ?

Thank you in advance.

A warning is not an error and doesn not mean the backup will fail. Wait for the (un)successful message at the end.

Inspect this directory!

> The following lines had too few/incorrect entries:

Even though I did not inspect this type of error why it comes out as far, I can say most likely it won't be a problem according to my experience.

I am agree with Torsten. watch out for an error.

Hi Alex,

One or more files in the system has the name contains / ends with a 'space'.

make_*_recovery list_expander which builds the list of files to include into the
archive. This list is stored in a file called flist. The warning indicates that an entry in this file has an unexpected format.

Please do not use filenames with a space to avoid this issue

Shalom,

The ignite backup says at the end whether the backup will succeed or fail.

I doubt this error will fail the backup, but check the log file to be sure.

SEP

> Problem lines:
> line:27 /opt/oracle/appsrv/bin/nm0

The error means that the file has garbage characters in it. list_expander has a set of rules for directory and filenames. Use the command:

ll -b /opt/oracle/appsrv/bin/nm0

You'll probably see special characters in the filename. Rename or remove the file.
