SysFaultMgmt: Timeout Error on Installation

Hello,

I installed the SysFaultMgmt (Version: B.07.01.01.03) on HP-UX 11.23. In the Configure Execution Phase an error occured (PGS00414). See the SWAgent LOG file:
"NOTE: Updating FMD Repository.
NOTE: Adding SFM Provider Module Monitoring Job.
An Error occured while executing command.
Error : PGS00414: Connection timed out."

After the installation, SFM is working still. But in the LOG file "sfm.log" i get the Message:
MCARecordReader ERROR 13516 16 An error occured while collecting the configuration snapshot detailsCIM_ERR_INVALID_CLASS: HPUX_EthernetGroupHostedCollection"

A reinstallation of the SysFaultMgmt do not help.

Can you help me?

Sorry, I have no clue about the complex mess that is SFM/WBEM/CIM etc.

But as a suggestion you could try to update the WBEMP LAN Provider and then swremove/swinstall SysFaultMgmt.

Hello Micheal,

thanks for your help! The error in the sfm.log dosn't appear any more.

But the timeout error at installation time is still there and in the sfm.log are now the following errors:

"10/23/09 13:28:40 FMDProvider WARNING 12180 1 Failed to inform FMD Provider about the repository change.

10/23/09 13:28:40 sfmconfig ERROR 12180 1

10/23/09 13:28:47 FPLReaderJob WARNING 12066 28 Exception while fetching last read record: System call failure! System call returned value: 203

10/23/09 13:33:47 sfmconfig ERROR 12433 1 An Error occured while executing command.
Error : PGS00414: Connection timed out."

Try to restart the cimserver
/sbin/init.d/cim_server stop && /sbin/init.d/cim_server start
maybe this helps.

Thanks, now sfm.log looks good!

Only the error at installation time remains magic...
