      <title>apachessl or mod ssl for a webserver?</title>

      <description>Hello&lt;BR /&gt;we have a verisign cert that expires today. And no one know how to genetate a key.. Fun huh ?? well on the verisign it asks if we have apachessl or mod ssl .. How do i determine what I have?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Richard</description>

      <description>Richard, you are confusing me. At first you said you were running Apache, but then you said you were running NES.       <description>Richard,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check your /opt/apache/conf/httpd.conf file. Search for "ssl",&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you see this:&lt;BR /&gt;LoadModule ssl_module         libexec/libssl.so&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then it is openssl (apachessl).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and "openssl" should reside in a directory like this:&lt;BR /&gt;/opt/apache/ssl/bin/openssl&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and you can do this:&lt;BR /&gt;# /opt/apache/ssl/bin/openssl  version&lt;BR /&gt;OpenSSL 0.9.5a 1 Apr 2000&lt;BR /&gt;# &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;live free or die&lt;BR /&gt;harry</description>

      <description>I found theese so it looks like it is ssl. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(www1) /opt/apache/etc# lsf&lt;BR /&gt;access.conf           magic.default         ssl.crt/&lt;BR /&gt;access.conf.default   mime.types            ssl.csr/&lt;BR /&gt;httpd.conf            mime.types.default    ssl.key/&lt;BR /&gt;httpd.conf.bak        srm.conf              ssl.prm/&lt;BR /&gt;httpd.conf.default    srm.conf.default&lt;BR /&gt;magic                 ssl.crl/&lt;BR /&gt;(www1) /opt/apache/etc#</description>
