email log notifier

I want to configure an email notification to send some system logs according to decendent order of priority on a HP-UX B.11.23 U ia64 .

I used /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig for EMS can send email OR SNMP traps through the user friendly menu easily but it is restricted resources and cannot use any system logs OR logs which collected in a path.

I am looking for a guide to configure from scratch any HP-UX native notifier OR SNMP trap guide ; book OR any Doc available for this.

OR any other idea will be appreciated.

is it possible to send email from HP-UX to Windows by using sendmail ? if yes , which parameter(s) must be configured to do it ?

Hi ,

Yes , it is possible , the trick is that to put a DOT at the end of address:

echo test |sendmail -f ME you@domain.com.
