What is the maximum value of maxvgs can be on hp-ux 11.11
I want to create more than 70 vgs.

The maximum value is 256.

Be aware that changing this value requires that a new kernel be generated and the system be rebooted.

max vg = 256

Its possible, we need check what's your current
maxvg (Kernal paremeter) set ?

Run below command to Check

# kmtune |grep maxvgs

if you want to increase

SAM->Keranl Configuaration ->Configurable Parameters->maxvgs

take note, above changes require reboot "hence its "Kernal parameter "maxvg" static

so before changing , perfrom Os backup.
