I created an ignite tape from a L2000 server and want to know if I can use the tape to ignite the L2000's operating system on an rp7400.

Hi Fred,

Probably you can retore it on rp7400.
Only thing is, while restoring, you might need to go "advance installation", select "different hardware" and then continue.

Another thing that you have to take care is that the drivers (specially for NIC cards) for rp7400 should be present in your L2000 server before backing it up (through ignite).

That is all as far as I believe.

SInce L2000 and N4000 (rp5400 and rp7400) are very similar, this should work.

Where is the ISSUE?
