    <description>&lt;BR /&gt; Our OS is HP-UX 11.31 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;we have already set the never expire to below mentioned user.&lt;BR /&gt;but user is getting the error message like &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"passowrd is expire in 1 days"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;how we can resolve this type of issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if we set never expire to user accoutn , how we can identify that user account is already having never expiration.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;please anyone pls help on this issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;advance thanks...........&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Did you check the /etc/default/security file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On 11.31 for standard and shadow it has a default value set for:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PASSWORD_MAXDAYS=175&lt;BR /&gt;PASSWORD_MINDAYS=14&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and&lt;BR /&gt;PASSWORD_WARNDAYS=14&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check that file - remember that even though you see the value rem'd out - it is the default value set.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So for your 'accoutn' user, you might set them to ~_MAXDAYS=441 (which is the highest value - See  man 4 security)  or to disable them you would enter for that user ~_MAXDAYS=-1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Rita</description>

      <description>first check the output from the above command&lt;BR /&gt;and look for password expire day - if its shows something password will expire praticluar date that the account has not been set for &lt;NO-PASSWORD restriction="" -=""&gt; you can use SAM to -&amp;gt; check about "User Account" policies.&lt;/NO-PASSWORD&gt;</description>

      <description>hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#cd /usr/lbin&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#modprpw -m exptm=0,lftm=0 username&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this will set lifetime to infinty and password willnever expiry&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and check with below cmd before and after issuing modprpw , u can find the difference&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#/usr/lbin/getprpw -l username</description>
