make_sys_image still running

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to run my ignite process and I get the following error.....

NOTE: A previous make_sys_image process has not completed.

I have seen this before and have corrected the problem but today I cannot seem to figure out what is is to clear this.

Does any one know how to clear this so that I can run a clean ignite?

Any Help would be greately appreciated!!

Hi Tim,

Did you do a "ps -ef | grep ignite"? To check if an ignite is currently running? If not check the ignite log.

/var/adm/make_recovery.msgs

Look at the ignite server, may be there are something hanging over there, such as nfs mount, or other stuff.

That file does not exist...?

Ignite is not running, we had to reboot the system while and it stopped the Ignite process.

Make_sys_image writes something out and if the next process sees this it will not run thinking that another one is running.

aha. then that's your problem. maybe a lockfile stucked somewhere...
