Never hesitate to read the docs, you learn things you never knew before.

A-record = address record, this is the IP, e.g. mycompany.com = 68.123.4.192

C-record = alias, this is an alias for the read record. e.g. mycompany.com and mycompany.net may be the same site/server.

MX-record = Mail record, this is where the mail goes, e.g. mycompany.com's website and mycompany.com's mail server may be two different servers. sending an email to joe@mycompany.com will be delivered to the mailserve found at mail.mycompany.com
