will there be any issue without installing dns bind..

we dont have dns setting,, will it be necessary to set up the dns bind for configuring dns

hi,

check if you have this :

testsrv:/etc#swlist |grep -i bind
PHNE_37865 1.0 Bind 9.2.0 components
testsrv:/etc#ls -la named
lr-xr--r-T 1 root sys 15 Jun 19 2006 named -> /usr/sbin/nam
ed

if yes use man named

and you should be able to configure DNS,

i always use command line, but you could use sam(11v1/2)/smh(11v3)
