      <description>Hi Again,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I guess it is :&lt;BR /&gt;# passwd -x 0 root&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The /etc/shadow file is created from the /etc/passwd file by the pwconv command. It is for security only. No problem if it is not there.</description>

      <description>Edit /etc/passwd and look at the second field of the root user&lt;BR /&gt;Passwords with expiration date looks like that:&lt;BR /&gt;W5LFnAsUoXL72,B/TU&lt;BR /&gt;The part after coma defines expiration date.&lt;BR /&gt;Remove it and the password:&lt;BR /&gt;W5LFnAsUoXL72&lt;BR /&gt;will never be expired&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH</description>
