What were you installing, a quality pack?
What OS version do you have?

Hi,

Can you try to install some other products in preview mode, just to ensure your setting in hosts file and nswswitch are okay. Then we will come to the product issue if it is.

How do you feel ?

HI

Please post the 'swinstall' command. Are there any '@' characters?

#######################

Are you trying to install a depot from the local system and getting an error message related to a REMOTE system? If the depot is on the local / same server then verify all your options don't have 'remote' in them and allow local resolution.

#########################

In your /etc/hosts file verify configuration:

127.0.0.1 loopback local_server
a.b.c.d local_server

If it is so, remove the local_server entry in the loopback ip address line and restart swagentd if necessary after that.
