    <description>Hi Guru's&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is a error while installing the package.&lt;BR /&gt;OS version is 10.20,&lt;BR /&gt;The error is :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swinstall -s /opt/zlib-1[1][1].1.4-sd-10.20.depot \*&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;=======  02/02/10 07:40:51 EST  BEGIN swinstall SESSION&lt;BR /&gt;         (non-interactive)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;       * Session started for user "root@tsbell".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;       * Beginning Selection&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   Could not contact host "tsbell".  Make sure the hostname is&lt;BR /&gt;         correct.&lt;BR /&gt;       * Target connection failed for "tsbell:/".&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   More information may be found in the daemon logfile on this&lt;BR /&gt;         target (default location is tsbell:/var/adm/sw/swagentd.log).&lt;BR /&gt;       * Selection had errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;=======  02/02/10 07:40:52 EST  END swinstall SESSION (non-interactive)&lt;BR /&gt;-----------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;so i am opened the /var/adm/sw/swagentd.log file. the output is:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# tail -f /var/adm/sw/swagentd.log&lt;BR /&gt;         in isolating this problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;=======  01/27/10 10:02:28 EST  BEGIN swagentd (pid = 29170).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;WARNING: An attempt to get the network host entry for "tsbell" failed.&lt;BR /&gt;         This may result in denial of access to users and agents at&lt;BR /&gt;         this host.  Check the spelling of this name, then your&lt;BR /&gt;         "/etc/hosts" file, or your "/etc/resolv.conf" file and DNS&lt;BR /&gt;         resolver configuration.  The nslookup program may be helpful&lt;BR /&gt;         in isolating this problem.&lt;BR /&gt;-----------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;While doing the nslookup, i am not aware whether it resolve the correct ip address and host name..&lt;BR /&gt;# nslookup tsbell&lt;BR /&gt;Name Server:  toroondc000.bell.corp.bce.ca&lt;BR /&gt;Address:  142.182.48.71&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;*** toroondc000.bell.corp.bce.ca can't find tsbell: Non-existent domain&lt;BR /&gt;# nslookup 142.182.48.71&lt;BR /&gt;Name Server:  toroondc000.bell.corp.bce.ca&lt;BR /&gt;Address:  142.182.48.71&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Name:    toroondc000.bell.corp.bce.ca&lt;BR /&gt;Address:  142.182.48.71&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pls tell me how to resolve the above issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance!!!!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Did u check ur /etc/hosts entry...??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;r u trying to install the depot from the same server or it's located remotely....??</description>

      <description>nslookup is not necessary . you can check your /etc/hosts file and if the hostname is correct or not . beccause according to your output it doesnt seem that entry is available in the DNS server&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;also check your /etc/resolv.conf and see if the correct entry is available for DNS or not.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and yes everything is fine &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# /sbin/init.d/swagentd stop&lt;BR /&gt;# /sbin/init.d/swagentd start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good Luck</description>

      <description>Suspecting could be "nsswitch.conf"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can you check your "nsswitch.conf" and comapre with "Other working Server"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please see below "example "nsswitch.conf"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;more /etc/nsswitch.conf&lt;BR /&gt;passwd: files&lt;BR /&gt;group: files&lt;BR /&gt;hosts: files [NOTFOUND=continue] dns&lt;BR /&gt;ipnodes: files&lt;BR /&gt;services: files&lt;BR /&gt;networks: files&lt;BR /&gt;protocols: files&lt;BR /&gt;rpc: files&lt;BR /&gt;publickey: files&lt;BR /&gt;netgroup: files&lt;BR /&gt;automount: files&lt;BR /&gt;aliases: files&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope This Helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Johnson</description>

      <description>Hi, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You have to check /etc/hosts &amp;amp; nsswitch.conf and set those correctly. Time being point to "files dns" order in nsswitch.conf and try.</description>
