      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; /var/adm/wtmp&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; /var/adm/wtmps&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will empty them but leave them in place with permissions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;inetd -l should start enhanced logging.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To fix:&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/sbin/acct/wtmpfix &amp;lt; /var/adm/wtmp&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is there a corruption problem?</description>

      <description>If you not interested in the data inside this file (which is login information)&lt;BR /&gt;go ahead and null it.&lt;BR /&gt;cat /dev/null &amp;gt; /var/adm/wtmp&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; /var/adm/wtmp&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;both are same thing except second would run one less program ie cat.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BR,&lt;BR /&gt;Kapil+</description>
