    <description>just notice one more thing , the GUI (System Management Page) option is however showing the above LUN is  shared by both VM's .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However ioscan is not showing it on guest . &lt;BR /&gt;Do you think rebooting guest  will fix the issue ? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <title>LUN shared by multiple VM's</title>

      <description>I  need mount a LUN (actually a snap LUN from clariion) to different VM guest . Was able to add the device on  first VM but then tried to make LUN visible to other VM also but it failed with the following error message. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This command running from VM host system . &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/opt/hpvm/bin/hpvmmodify -P hervmd03 -F -a disk:avio_stor::disk:/dev/rdisk/disk7&amp;gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hpvmmodify: ERROR (hervmd03): Duplicate backing device '/dev/rdisk/disk72'.&lt;BR /&gt;hpvmmodify: ERROR (hervmd03): Unable to add device '/dev/rdisk/disk72'.&lt;BR /&gt;hpvmmodify: Unable to create device disk:avio_stor::disk:/dev/rdisk/disk72.&lt;BR /&gt;hpvmmodify: Unable to modify the guest.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Issues resolved after reboot. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I don't like the the way HP VM works , I need to reboot the VM anytime i need to add a LUN - not good . Is i am missing something ? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Are you running any cluster over VMs, why you want to share same LUN to other VM.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Well it does not ask for reboot normally!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you see any other issue?&lt;BR /&gt;what version of HPVM and HP-UX.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BR,&lt;BR /&gt;Kapil+</description>

      <description>These are clariion snap LUNS which needs to be mounted on both VM's from time to time (one at a time only). &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  T2767BC               B.04.00        Integrity VM   &lt;BR /&gt;ParMgr                B.31.02.04.01  Partition Manager - HP-UX&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We are on Sept,2008 patch level for Host and all the guest are on March,2009. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
