    <description>Hi Vincent,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can remove the device file by using the H/W path of the same.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#rmsf -H &lt;H&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if the disk/lun is removed from the server this will autmatically remove after next reboot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Prasanth Thomas.&lt;/H&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;    Can anyone advice how can I remove the special files from the disk. When I do ioscan funC disk it show below&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;disk         1  0/1/1/0.0.0.0.0   sdisk          CLAIMED     DEVICE       HP      DG0146FAMWL&lt;BR /&gt;                               /dev/dsk/c4t0d0     /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0&lt;BR /&gt;                               /dev/dsk/c4t0d0s1   /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0s1&lt;BR /&gt;                               /dev/dsk/c4t0d0s2   /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0s2&lt;BR /&gt;                               /dev/dsk/c4t0d0s3   /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0s3&lt;BR /&gt;disk         2  0/1/1/0.0.0.1.0   sdisk          CLAIMED     DEVICE       HP      DG0146FAMWL&lt;BR /&gt;                               /dev/dsk/c4t1d0   /dev/rdsk/c4t1d0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How do u remove special file end with c4t0d0s1, C4t0d0s2, c4t0d0s3 and etc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advice??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Vincent</description>

      <description>rmsf is the command to remove device or special files. You have to manually&lt;BR /&gt;do it&lt;BR /&gt;for example&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rmsf /dev/dsk/c4t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>on top of that ? any special reason why you need to "delete or remove" ..?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;man rmsf -&amp;gt; man pages more information.</description>
