    <description>You will get Java heap core dump if memory stack size(maxtsiz/maxtsiz_64bit)or swap size is smaller than what it takes.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is a facility of taking live dump in HPUXv3.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But if every thing is fine you need to kill the process with signal 3.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ie kill -3 &lt;PID&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/PID&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have IBM websphere running on my 11.23 itanium.  What I found out the websphere java process (from glance) memory usage is 2.3Gb.  Could someone tell me how to get the java head dump for this process.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>from kill -3 &lt;PID&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can get the dump of this process but this would kill the process as well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BR,&lt;BR /&gt;Kapil+&lt;/PID&gt;</description>
