      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt; Besides the normal file permission(rwx) ACL provides easy method for accessing the file for users. &lt;BR /&gt;#setacl -m user:user1:r-- file1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The above command sets the permission for file1 to user1 as read only.(r--)&lt;BR /&gt;The advantage compared to chmod is here we can specify individual  user.&lt;BR /&gt;See man getacl&lt;BR /&gt;  man setacl&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Bijeesh</description>
