i would like to know how to upgrade from 11.23 to 11.31

i have itanium there (B.11.23 U ia64)

ps: do i have buy any additional license?

If you do not have a support contract then you have to buy HPUX again...

Also. The recommended method to get to 11.31 is NOT to upgrade but cold install.

i'm going to figure if my boss have such contract,

in any case, the only way to get the 11.31 is by having that support? can't i buy it apart?

Shalom,

You can buy 11.31 HP-UX separately. To do so you need to contact your HP representative.

However this is not a trivial upgrade process.

You should in fact not use HP-UX upgrade to change the OS, you should do a cold install followed by re-installation of important applications on the system.

Software support is quite important in making this work right.

You can verify with HP on new 11.31 licnece.
Hp always recommends fresh 11.31 installation.
