Crash dump analysis

Dear all,

I am attaching a crash dump INDEX file for one of our production servers after a crash happend last night. How can i know the crash cause from the attached file.

Your help is highly apprecitaed.

Hi ,,

From the index file you will not be able to find out the crash reason,

Lock a case with HP , else you may analyse the crash with q4

Log a software case with HP would be a better option to findout the root cause.

Check /etc/shutdown.log, what it says?

the /etc/shutdownlog says:

Hi,

The q4 wont help you much - but you would be asked to do that, and give HP Response center the files from that analysis:

Here is q4 (from SEP's site)

The HP RC email may be different for you.
Best give them the details in advance, to avoid time | email delays.

I am attaching q4 out put.
I have noticed space issues in two filesystems please add what you notice too.

You have a NaT consumption fault in tcp_rput. Time to make sure you have all of the recommended patches and then contact the Response Center.
You are also out of space on lvol2.

Probably you have an old patch level , expecially arpa patch (almost all old ARPA patches have warning)

Please update latest network patches including arpa streams and dependency.

That will give you the solution.

Check the latest IPF also.

If you want more analysis, you may need to contact HP, They will tell you what should be done.

Well, I have sent all my findings to HP and waiting their response. However, many thanks for all of you for your guidence and support.
