Root user Locked

Hi all

One of my server RX3300 has locked. When I am trying to access from root user. Giving error Root user disable...

How to unable the uaser Please help..

-If you have resmsh enabled for root you can login and unlock root account.
- If you have sudo access you can login and unlock.
- Try with su .
- Login using the console and try.
- Final option to boot in single user mode and get to # . And unlock.

Hi Sanjay,

Did you recently convert to a trusted system ? If yes, in that case the only option is to boot into single user mode and change the password.

Only root equivalent user can enable the root account, do u have any root equivalent user ?
if yes then log in through that user name and enable root account.
if no then do you have any sudo user how can sudo to root if yes then he can enable the root account.
did you try to login thought console.
if all fail then need to start in single user mode.
if your server is trusted mode then need to boot your server through DVD and go to recovery mode.

first try using login through console [GSP] it allow login if you root password is disabled

and if above is not working then

Reboot and single user option..

Boot the server in singal user mode and change the password of root
