topic ldap in Operating System - HP-UX

Hi,

I need to remove the auth method from my 11iv3 out from the box for a compliance reason. I was thinking of having the HP-UX using our Active Directory 2008 RC2.

What do I need and what are the step involve? I would like to test that with few users only at the beginning. I think with pam_user.conf I will be able to do that!

thanks

I am trying the same thing. There are a few docs on how to set it up but its not 100% clear. Download the PAM Kerberos software to start. Good luck

Those 4 links seem to be stale.

Try these

http://docs.hp.com/en/J4269-90075/J4269-90075.pdf

http://docs.hp.com/en/J4269-90076/J4269-90076.pdf

You should be configuring SSL with LDAP otherwise you would be sending passwords to AD in clear text. The instructions on page 49 use a certificate authority (CA) to generate the certificates. You should be able to use server based certificates instead.
