    <description>I am getting below error on console. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;May 16 11:00:05 bataux01 prngd[11213]: write() in socket_write() failed: Broken pipe&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when i check &lt;BR /&gt;bataux01-clone:/opt/openssl/prngd]./prngd -v&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;prngd 0.9.26 (12 Jul 2002)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I tried to install new version of prngd to get ridoff thsi error.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But after install of new version&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[bataux01-clone:/opt/openssl/prngd]swlist -l product |grep -i prngd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;prngd 0.9.29 prngd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i am not getting it reflect in ssl&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;---------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;bataux01-clone:/opt/openssl/prngd]./prngd -v&lt;BR /&gt;prngd 0.9.26 (12 Jul 2002)&lt;BR /&gt;But with I check with below it shows new one. &lt;BR /&gt;[bataux01-clone:/opt/openssl/prngd]/usr/local/bin/prngd -v&lt;BR /&gt;prngd 0.9.29 (12 Jul 2004)&lt;BR /&gt;-------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please suggest me how to get new version of prngd which can be used by OpenSSL.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;software install are &lt;BR /&gt;# openssl A.00.09.07-d.002 Secure Network Communications Protocol&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-CER A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Certs Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-CONF A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Configure File&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-DOC A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Document Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-INC A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Header Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-LIB A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Library Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-MAN A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Manual pages&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-MIS A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Miscellaneous Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-PRNG A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Prng Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-PVT A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Private Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-RUN A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Executable Files&lt;BR /&gt;openssl.OPENSSL-SRC A.00.09.07-d.002 OpenSSL Source Files</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;basically if you upgrade Openssl, it will also come with new prngd.</description>

      <description>The message suggests that whatever connected to the prngd had closed its end of the pipe by  the time prngd went to write() something to it.</description>

      <description>for whole ssl to upgrade a reboot is need. Is there any method to install only prng where no reboot need. I installed next version of it but ssl was not taking it for processing.</description>
