    <description>"extend root".  Do you mean the / file system?  If so, no you cannot extended because it needs to be contiguous.  Your extra space in vg00 comes after all the previously defined logical volumes so an extension of lvol3 would make it no longer contiguous.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ignite is the way to go.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete</description>
