Hi

How to know the OS services configuration, security hardening and hardware configuration on a HP-UX server? I mean if I am the one who purchase the servers and set them up.

Hi,

U can check regarding OS and hardware from nickel output

#cd /opt/contrib/bin
#./nickel

Check nickel ouput regarding OS,hardware, software, patches

I can't find nickel in /opt/contrib/bin.

Attached is the nickel, it would have a lot of information you need.

FOr OS services and other if you are buying the server i suppose you would have proper plan on how to use it.

We you will have gather the services runnin on it and get the configuration accordingly, there can not be any generalised answer.

Hi All

I would like to have something like the attached for the HP-UX server. Is there a way to do it apart from looking into the path,/etc/rc.config.d/ ?
