If so, this makes sense. 'root' is probably getting mapped to 'nobody' by NFS.<BR /><BR />&gt;&gt;2.) I am getting Request time out while <BR />&gt;&gt;pinging guest os from windows machine.<BR /><BR />Do you have a firewall or iptables running on the HP-UX server?
