    <description>&amp;gt;Now /var is empty and I am trying to restore it&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If one of the system filesystems goes bad, you may not be able to use a backup tool like netbackup to restore.  You may have to use ignite to backup the OS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may need to at least create /var/tmp/.</description>

      <description>Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Netbackup client has got a disk problem and is replaced. Now /var is empty and i am trying to restore it from Netbackup server. But i am unable to telnet it from Netbackup Server. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From Client:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpcd -port 13782&lt;BR /&gt;bind(13782) failed: 226&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ps -ef | grep -i inetd&lt;BR /&gt;    root 23665     1  0 01:37:37 ?         0:00 /usr/sbin/inetd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# netstat -a | grep -i bpcd&lt;BR /&gt;tcp        0      0  *.bpcd                 *.*                     LISTEN&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From Netbackup server :&lt;BR /&gt;enbu1:vr0591 telnet BRETAC9D-55-sec bpcd&lt;BR /&gt;Trying 55.10.34.43...&lt;BR /&gt;Connected to bretac9d-55-sec.&lt;BR /&gt;Escape character is '^]'.&lt;BR /&gt;Connection to bretac9d-55-sec closed by foreign host&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have tried restarting inetd services. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any reply will be appreciated.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
