The important word seems to be "was".

Using the adobe.com website's own search function produces some hits to some Adobe Knowledge Base articles that refer to Acrobat Reader on HP-UX, but those search results will only lead to "page not found" errors.

Running a Google search on adobe.com using keywords "site:adobe.com adobe acrobat reader hp-ux" eventually reveals this download link. It would seem to allow downloading old, unsupported versions of the Adobe/Acrobat Reader:

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2_allversions_nojs1.html

For HP-UX, the version offered is 7.0.9.

For me at least, trying to download the HP-UX version will just redirect to the download page for the latest Acrobat Reader... which is available for Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris only.

So looks like Adobe has chosen not to allow downloading the old version any more.

MK

> For me at least, [...]

Same here. That's annoying. I did find some
even older stuff using FTP:

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobatreader/unix/5.x

No bets on whether any of it's useful.

(Especially when all we know about the target
system is "v3", not basic "uname -a" info.)

Shalom,

Adobe does not offer this product to HP-UX in a depot file.

Some sort of discussion happened and Adbobe is not providing new versions to HP-UX.

However you can use the old reader to effectively read pdf data on your system.

There are open source alternatives you might want to explore if you need more modern features.

SEP

>SEP: Adobe does not offer this product to HP-UX in a depot file.

Right. In 2007 I picked a PA version 7.0 in:
HPUXRDR.TAR & COMMON.TAR ?
