      <description>you are in single user mode .. and it seems /usr is not  mounted .. &lt;BR /&gt;mount /usr &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then run the command /bin/passwd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i think it would work then</description>
