Hi Himacs:

Pick the operating system you want to install (e.g. 11.31) and look at the Installation and Update guide that matches. For example:

Cold-installation and installation by upgrade (with 'update-ux') are discussed.

There are no "various methods". As Jim says, you either cold install or upgrade.

There are several methods.

DRD(Dynamic root disk)
Ignite replication
Cold Install
dd system replication and change.

There is one other method that might suit you more: installation by consultat ;-)
