      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The command will copy raw blocks fro&lt;BR /&gt;your disk into "bit bucket" and&lt;BR /&gt;it will take a very long time due to your small&lt;BR /&gt;block size of 4 KB.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In other words, you are, in a very simple&lt;BR /&gt;way, checking if slice 2 of a boot disk&lt;BR /&gt;has some read errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;VK2COT</description>

      <description>Yes you can break it, nothing will happen for this.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But you wont' get the expected result. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Looks like your disk has problem.</description>

      <description>When you press Ctrl+c it breaks.  If that doesn't work, open a new session, search for the PID of dd command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ps -ef |grep -i dd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then kill it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kill -9 &lt;PID of="" dd=""&gt;&lt;/PID&gt;</description>
