os installation error

hi am facing a problem in installing hp-ux1131 os in rx2620

after booting from dvd,it is hanging in the following stage..

loading symbol table
loading System Directory (boot.sys) to MFS
....
loading MFSFILES directory (bootfs) to MFS
....................
Launching /stand/vmunix
SIZE: Text:29215K + Data:6540K + BSS:5215K = Total:40970K

even i dont know if it booting from the dvd or not..pls help me out...how to confirm whethr it is booting from dvd...and also yy ths error is happening??

What console you are using?

Looks like you are on the wrong console.

Go to EFI and do

EFI> conconfig

Adjust if needed.

hi,
i am trying to boot frm a dvd..in the boot manager prompt am selecting the internal dvd option..

after tht it is directly going to the abv mentioned place and hanaging ther..even if i am trying to boot frm harddisk..it is hanging in the same place..pls help me ..wht to do..??

I told you what to do ...

If you are on the wrong console, you will just see NOTHING.

i am connecting to mp through putty..am not getting wht to mean...nw how can i check in whch consol i am??

Go to EFI and do

EFI> conconfig

console can be set to either serial or VGA.

i beleive you have the MP access. then you can access the EFI Shell and can boot from the DVD.

check which are the boot options under EFI. if the DVD boot option is not listing you can add that with the ' Boot option maintenance menu'
try this.

For using serial as console it should look like this:

Shell> conconfig
