cstm - no memory info

Hi,

One one of our hp-ux server (ia64 hp server BL860c, 11.23), I am unable to find the memory module in cstm when i run map

I did a remap also, but couldnt find the memory information. I am looking for the memory dimm information which I could get from cstm.

Try this:

echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog" | /usr/sbin/cstm

# /sbin/init.d/diagnostic stop
# /sbin/init.d/diagnostic start

It`s possible " Support Tools Manager" bundle
is bit old.

Hi,

I am getting the below error -

cstm>selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog
^-- Unknown list entry. --
The list entry (memory) is undefined.

^-- (Information) is currently disabled. --

^-- (InfoLog) is currently disabled. --

Tried after restarting the diagnostic daemons also but still getting the same error

IT should work in this way if "DIMS" are mapped.

cstm> sel path 2
cstm> info
cstm> infolog

Do check the "STM" version to make sure if it`s not old enough to be upgraded.

what is the version of cstm ?
echo ""|cstm

Can you try this syntax:
echo â selclass type memory;info;wait;infologâ |cstm

CSTM Version is C.54.00

Memory module doesnt come up in cstm so the above command doesnt work.

Try "insf -e" and then try again with cstm if it is back ?
By the way, what can you see if you try "stm" (=graphic version of cstm) instead of cstm ?

hi,

at first i would recommend to reboot the server and also to update the STM, sometimes the stm map is not generated.

check this site :

your version is really old.

CSTM is from Sep 2006 - much too old.

I even think the running OS release is too old to support this hardware.

From the docs:

For HP-UX 11i v2 support, please install the HP-UX 11i v2 OE Update Release for June 2007 (or later)

... for the BL860c blade.
