Shalom,

Go to http://software.hp.com

Download and install the latest CIFS/9000 (samba) client for server and client.

swinstall them. The client requires a boot.

Then you may have a chance.

You may first want to try joining the domain if you have an ADS domain in place.

netapp's have an NFS mode that can save you this trouble if the shares are offered via NFS.

SEP

I can mount a CIFS share fine on a RedHat box but cannot mount the same share on HP-UX 11.11 with same userid. Here are the commands I'm using:

cifsclient start
CIFS Client started; process id: 19307

cifsmount //netapp-a2.omhq.uprr.com/cam /mnt -U username -P xxxxxx
Connecting Server: LOC: Timeout

The user id is not on the server but don't think that matters. Here is the SW version-
cifsmount -v
cifsmount: daemon version: A.01.09
cifsmount: client version: A.01.09

Thanks,
Jim
