Hi All,

One of our server have internal boot disk , which was mirrored with a lun from XP san storage. There was some activities done on SAN storage.

After this activity, the device path of mirrored Xp lun got changed & mirroring got broken. I can see the mirrored disk in ioscan output & vgdisplay vg00 shows error saying that mirror disk not present. Now i am not able to unmirror this disk & mirror it back with newer device path.

Is it possible or restore from ignite only way to rollback ???

THanks in advance
prasanth

"something changed" - I assume related to the path, so you got new device files.

Consider to unmirror the disk, remove it from the VG, then create the mirror again with the new device path.

One way,
due to physical volume unavailabe you need pvkey to reduce the mirror
lvreduce it using pvkey
lvdisplay -v -k lvol wil give you the pvkey.
lvreduce -m 0 -k lvol <PVKEY>
after do it for all lvs.
Reduce the mirror
vgreduce -f vgname
after that follow the normal root mirroring procedure.</PVKEY>
