      <description>How to remove the mirroring of the hard disk? to removed it's attachment from the os hard disk so that i can use this hard disk for another purposes..Is that possible?does it requires the system to be reboot?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pls help..ty</description>

      <description>Removing of mirror disk doesn't require reboot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's simple.  1st identify how many LVs you have in mirrored.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend -m 0 &lt;LVOL name=""&gt; &lt;DISK&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Verify that you have successfully removed the mirror&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvdisplay -v &lt;LVOL name=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;remove disk from VG&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgreduce &lt;VGNAME&gt; &lt;DISK&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Remove disk from the system&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ioscan -fnk &lt;DISK&gt;|grep disk |awk '{print $3}'&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rmsf -H &lt;OUTPUT from="" above=""&gt;&lt;/OUTPUT&gt;&lt;/DISK&gt;&lt;/DISK&gt;&lt;/VGNAME&gt;&lt;/LVOL&gt;&lt;/DISK&gt;&lt;/LVOL&gt;</description>
