network status checking

Hi Gurus,
I need to
launch the command « ndd -get /dev/tcp tcp_status » in our server without the error « operation failed, Invalid argument »

OS version ==>

ftint:/# uname -a
HP-UX ftint B.11.11 U 9000/800 3968125325 unlimited-user license
ftint:/#
ftint:/#
ftint:/# /usr/bin/ndd -get /dev/tcp tcp_status
operation failed, Invalid argument
ftint:/#

Could you pls tell me where I went wrong here?

Any patch is need to use this command?

Hi,

Is the tcp_status argument showed when you enter the following command:
#ndd -get /dev/tcp ?

Hi,,

Yes tcp_status option is available.

ftint:/# ndd -get /dev/tcp ?| grep -i tcp_status
tcp_status (read only)
ftint:/#

Could you please confirm any pactch bundle isneeded to update?

Current bundle is
ftint:/# swlist -l bundle | grep -i app
GOLDAPPS11i B.11.11.0612.459 Applications Patches for HP-UX 11i v1, December 2006

Hi,

Please check the lastest "cumulative ARPA Transport patch" (PHNE_39386):
http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/patchDocDisplay.do?patchId=pdb_na-PHNE_39386 .
Please note that have a lot of dependencies and needs reboot.

You may download HPUX 11.11 2009 patch bundle & try to run the command again .
