      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I want to see all my SAS drives in ioscan -funC disk o/p but after deleting it, its still showing a single disk in ioscan o/p.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#    /opt/raidsa/bin/saconfig /dev/ciss0 -D 1&lt;BR /&gt;Are you sure you want to delete logical drive 1 on&lt;BR /&gt;SmartArray RAID controller /dev/ciss0? (y/[n]): y&lt;BR /&gt;Logical drive 1 deleted&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;disk      1  0/3/0/0/0/0.0.1  sdisk   CLAIMED     DEVICE       HP     OLUME&lt;BR /&gt;    &lt;BR /&gt;Can't it possible to see all 4 drives separetly?&lt;BR /&gt;So that i can use it separately for configuring vg's.</description>

      <description>What do you want to have now?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;RAID0, RAID1 or even RAID5???&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You cannot access the physical disks from OS.</description>

      <description>Shikhar,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now that you can see all 4 disks, you can go into SAM and create a logical volume for each.  As an alternative you can use the lvcreate command from the shell prompt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rick</description>

      <description>no no no.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You CANNOT see physical drives connected to a P400 from the OS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The output above is from saconfig utility.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You need to create a RAID set and logical drives (RAID 0/1/5).</description>
