    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You don't mention what OS your on, so&lt;BR /&gt;first I can suggest two things.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First have a look at the latest patches&lt;BR /&gt;for SAM. Until you install them, make&lt;BR /&gt;sure that you only add users through&lt;BR /&gt;the 'useradd' or 'usermod' commands. Of&lt;BR /&gt;course these programs could also have&lt;BR /&gt;the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here are the patches you should look at:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HPUX 10.20&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_18925&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_22268&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HPUX 11&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_21187&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_20679&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_23218&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;-Michael&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi guys&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have an issue where after we add or modify users using SAM, the passwd file gets erased..meaning the home directories and the shell logins of users disappear...&lt;BR /&gt;any thoughts?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks in advance./</description>
