Secure path Installation fails

Hi,
System Model : HP rp7420
OS : HP-UX 11.23
Storage : EVA5000

I am trying to install Secure Path Ver 3.0F for HP-UX for Active-Passive Disk Arrays but it fails with the below message.

ERROR: "unixbox2:/": 1 check scripts failed.
* "unixbox2:/": 5 filesets will be skipped because of an error
within their product.
* The analysis phase failed for "unixbox2:/".
* Analysis and Execution had errors.

ERROR: More information may be found in the agent logfile using the
command "swjob -a log unixbox2-0041 @ unixbox2:/".

ERROR: swinstall has failed. Aborting the installation. Please check the sw logs for details.

and the swlog says as below..

ERROR: There is a volume group on SecurePath device c10t0d1
ERROR: Other than root VG, if there is any LVM volume group
on a device that will be claimed by SecurePath,it
is necessary to export that volume group before
attempting to install again.
ERROR: The "checkinstall" script for "CPQswsp" failed (exit code
"1").

This server is already using SAN disks. Presently we have extended the vg with alternate pv links.

How can I proceed to complete the secure path installation?
Please advise...

The message is

"if there is any LVM volume group
on a device that will be claimed by SecurePath,it is necessary to export that volume group before attempting to install again."

and I think this is what you need to do now (vgexport).

Hi Torsten,
Thanks for response.
Ok I will do vgexport. But the lvmtab has the entries of all 4 alternate pvlinks. After installing the secure path software the ioscan will only show single path. Then whether it will make any issues while doing a vgimport?

This is typical for this product, you get a virtual path to the LUN, this virtual path (e.g. 255/...) has control over the "real" paths, but they are "hidden" now.

Hi Torsten,
Does it means there will be a device name change for the SAN disks after the secure path installation? Whether this will affect the vgimport from the mapfile?
