    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, in another OS ,it is possible to reinstall from another disk if previously backed up on it. But I am not sure is it possible for HP&amp;nbsp; if you can able to alternate path to boot from another disk ? and after all you have&amp;nbsp; to have backup already. So seems hard in this way.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Most logical solution is that reinstall with OS DVD or CD, if you do not have ignite backup..&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have one rp7410 server. there is only one root/boot disk. i have to replace the disk because there was something wrong with the disk. so how can i do that???? i have no mirror-ux software and also have no tape drive to take ignite backup. so how i can replace the disk? can anyone please help me regarding this issue?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Arafat&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;With no mirror and no backup, your only choices are to a) do an Ignite network recovery or b) re-install the OS.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>You can try this: put another disk in a free slot and copy the boot disk with "dd" to that disk. Shutdown the system, put the new disk in the original slot and boot up.</description>
