HI,

I've removed the ignite and try to reinstall it again but I have an error msg :
There is currently no depot software on host xxx at location "".

Please advise as I need to creat a tape tonight.

Hi,

Logon to the host xxx and run the following command

#swlist -l depot

See if the depot is listed in there. If so, go into the directory and see it has contents. Most probably it might have gotten deleted. You can always get it from HP's website and install.

first check doing a

#swlist -l

to check whether you have the depot registered.

If the depot file is present then you can do a

#swreg -l depot

#swinstall

After downloading a fresh copy, you need to use the full path to install it. I'd suggest you install it like this:

# swinstall -s /tmp/ignite.depot \*

You can also install it using the interactive swinstall menu, by starting 'swinstall' with no options.

here is the output:
# swlist -l depot
# Initializing... # Target "spshp" has the following depot(s)
/data1/xxx/patch/depot /data2/patch_depot
The ignite was copied to a different directory. Do I have to make the above depot directories as the source depot path within the swlinstall. I remeber that we just installed alot of patches in the HP-UX 11.0 box because before those patches I did the ignite installation without any problem.
Please advise.

provide the right path name of the depot software for swinstall

After you locate the exact path just do what Micheal has suggested.
