    <description>Does anyone know what causes the following error when entering a sudo command?&lt;BR /&gt;"fatal flex scanner internal error--end of buffer missed"&lt;BR /&gt;The /etc/sudoers file is quite large and shared by multiple systems.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.&lt;BR /&gt;David.</description>

      <description>There are several documents from this search that hint at this error being a DNS/nslookup problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;amp;lr=&amp;amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;amp;as_qdr=all&amp;amp;q=%22fatal+flex+scanner+internal+error--end+of+buffer+missed%22" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;amp;lr=&amp;amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;amp;as_qdr=all&amp;amp;q=%22fatal+flex+scanner+internal+error--end+of+buffer+missed%22&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd contact the author of sudo and see if there is some known issue with how sudo handles name resolution.</description>

      <description>sudoers file was is shared with AIX systems that has syntax not compatable with HP's sudo.</description>
