    <description>hey, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i want system umask to be 027. When i put a entry in /etc/system of 0027 it turns out to be 026 rather. Where else I have to do anything..Might be just simple, i m little confused at the moment. Please reply..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;Prashant</description>

      <description>Check if it's being set in your /etc/profile or in the .profile (or other "dot" environment files) for the login ID you are testing with.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mark</description>

      <description>/etc/system ?? - hmm.. You must add the umask entry in /etc/profile or .profile of the user not in /etc/system file.</description>
