      <title>Vgcfgbackup error</title>

      <description>Recently I have taken over one system,When i try to do vgcfgbackup i get the following message."vgcfgbackup vg02&lt;BR /&gt;vgcfgbackup: /etc/lvmtab is out of date with the running kernel:Kernel indicates 3 disks for "/dev/vg02"; /etc/lvmtab has 2 disks.&lt;BR /&gt;Cannot proceed with backup."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I tried to export the VG &amp;amp; import it with another VG name but I did't get the answer problem persist.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Helping hands needed sirs...</description>

      <description>sounds like your lvmtab is corrupted and needs to be rebuilt.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# mv /etc/lvmtab /etc/lvmtab.old&lt;BR /&gt;# /sbin/vgscan -av</description>

      <description>Thanks for the reply , Issue resolved.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgreduce -f /dev/vg02&lt;BR /&gt;PV with key 1 sucessfully deleted from vg /dev/vg02&lt;BR /&gt;Repair done, please do the following steps.....:&lt;BR /&gt;1.  save /etc/lvmtab to another file&lt;BR /&gt;2.  remove /etc/lvmtab&lt;BR /&gt;3.  use vgscan(1m) -v to re-create /etc/lvmtab&lt;BR /&gt;4.  NOW use vgcfgbackup(1m) to save the LVM setup&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
