    <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;can you give the output of&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ps -aef |grep PID&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;where PID is the pid of specific process.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you are applying fuser -ku for a mount point&lt;BR /&gt;you have to give the lvol name.&lt;BR /&gt;like (if lvol9 is mounted on /mnt and you want to umount it.before that findout that process is related to any application and shutdown that application.)&lt;BR /&gt;#fuser -ku /dev/vg00/lvol9&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regds,</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;very urgent - process will not die with fuser -k or kill -9,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;can anyone give anymore examples to kill process' without rebooting?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;many thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lawrenzo</description>

      <description>Hi lawrenzo &lt;BR /&gt;The process that can't be killed with kill -9 should be dead but they still are alive.
